Do you know his name?

Psalms 9:10 - Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you. - NIV.

To "know your name" is the same as knowing and understanding the character of God. We never fully trust someone until we know them: who they are, where they come from, what drives and inspires them.

You can't possibly get to know someone fully in 5 minutes, and the same goes for God.

If you know that you can't possibly get to know someone in a short 5-minute interview... how do you possibly even begin to understand the heart of God in the same time frame? By repeating the same 2-minute prayer you say every night to "lift your guilty conscience" before your head hits the pillow? (Ouch, yup, been there once or twice.) It doesn't matter if you don't know how to start, or if you don't know what to say. One of the lovely things about Jesus is that he intercedes for us to the Father. He knows what you want/need to say before the words ever even stumble out. If for whatever reason you can't talk, your heart just aches, and you haven't talked to him in so long (or ever)... you can just sit with him, he loves that too. 🤍 When you're ready, he craves and wants real, deep, and raw conversations with you. He wants to get to know you personally. He wants the messy, he wants the broken, he wants to know the real you, fully unmasked. He loves you so, so much. 🤍 Isn't it amazing that the creator of the universe desires a friendship with you? With me? Just one individual among 8 billion on this planet, yet he still wishes to know you. He's interested in your passions, what motivates and inspires you, and who you are as a person. Of course, he already knows you; after all, he created you. But he wants you to share all of that with him personally. How incredible is that? How special and fortunate are we that our God is so deeply invested in each of us that he wants to know us personally? Can anyone else claim the same about their gods? No! Our Creator is the only one who truly cares so profoundly about his creation. So taking that into consideration... Will you be sitting at his feet today? Xoxo
